Founder and Executive Director, Cynthia Garcia, is a producer, playwright and actor who has performed locally in Houston and across the country, earning membership status in Actors Equity,
a professional actors union. The lifelong performer is a former member and coach of the renowned Texas Southern University Debate Team, a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, NYC, and a graduate of University of Houston, where she earned her MA in Arts Leadership. Cynthia is grateful to be a conduit for bridging the arts to faith-based interests. A disciple of Jesus Christ and lover of the arts makes leading Exalted Arts the perfect opportunity for the entrepreneur. Wife of Luis for over 20 years, and mother of Luke, a budding violinist, Cynthia endeavors to spread joy and hope through the arts.
Anthony Swain, a native of Louisiana, has resided in the Houston area for over 35 years, where as a theater enthusiast, he has continuously supported the local theater and performing arts scenes.
As a committed Christian with faithful service within his local church community, Anthony has served in various capacities, including teaching, assisting with the Youth and Men’s Prison Ministries, and leading a local troop of Cub Scouts. Professionally, Anthony is an Information Technologist with over 30 years of experience. In addition to the arts, he enjoys fishing, exercising and the entertainment of sports programming.
Charles Ray Lovings is the Pastor and Founder of House of Refuge Church of God in Christ, established June 7, 2008, and has been in ministry for over 25 years. Ministry service is dedicated to Church of God in Christ International at varying capacities at the district, state, and national levels.
Locally, Pastor Lovings has served as Choir Director, and President of the Men’s and Youth Departments. Pastor Lovings has enjoyed theater arts since his youth, having performed in plays and winning awards for his participation in monologue and duo competitions. A City of Houston employee for over 24 years, Charles has worked in all aspects of the Houston Fire Department, including New Recruits, Human Resources, Procurement, and currently, Infrastructure Manager.
